Winner of Polish Blues Challenge 2025
The band WILD FLAME began their musical journey together after a memorable meeting at a jam session during Jimiway Blues Festival. The musical rapport was felt by all instantly and they decided to form the band and immediately got to work writing and creating songs with a vibe of blues, soul and funk.
An undoubted advantage of the band is Adeama Walkowiak, an excellent British singer from London. Adeama’s musical family roots (Her father achieved great success as the keyboard player in reggae band Third World, and her mother vocally supported such music stars as Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Robert Cray and Gary Moore, amongst others) have definitely helped her cultivate a style, musical talent and energy that captivates audiences and attracts many fans.
The band creates unique, original music rooted in blues, soul and funk with a touch of rock at times. Their debut album “Steel and Fire” was released in November 2022. The band a currently working on their 2nd album. Regularly performing on the Polish music scene, performing at many big blues festivals, including Blues Express 2021 & 2023, Jimiway Bues Festival 2020, 2021 & 2022, Las, Woda & Blues, Jesień z Bluesem, Żorski Blues Festival and many more. They have also taken their stage show to Europe, performing in the RnB Festival 2023 in Latvia, Dresden Blues Festival 2023 and Blues Baltica Blues fest in Germany, and Festivals in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Adeama Walkowiak
Vocal
Adeama grew up in a musical family, her parents were both highly established in the music industry. Adeama often toured with her Father, accompanying him on 3 world tours and also sang regularly with her mother at showcases. Due to this she has over 30 years vocal experience. She decided to forge her own career in music and achieved success with her first release “Turn the Beat around”, which she performed at Hammersmith Palais and various other major venues in London. She later scored a summer hit in 2009 with “Vicious Circle” a collaboration with Julien Jabre on Defected Record label.
After taking a break to start a family and move to Wroclaw, she returned to singing and in 2019 she won the Audiences vote and Judges vote at Las, Woda i Blues singing competition, winning a chance to perform 2 shows at Suwalki Blues festival, the biggest Blues Festival in Poland. This put Adeama on the map in Wroclaw and she started to perform regularly on the Wroclaw scene in Vertigo Jazz Club and Restaurant, Nietota, and Stary Klasztor.
In 2019 she started working with her band Wild Flame and over the period of the last 4 years they have toured and gigged extensively all over Poland, playing blues festivals and clubs such as Jesień z Bluesem, Jimiway Blues Festival, Blues Express and Gdynia Blues Club. Last year they were able to take their stage show to Festivals in Germany, Czech Republic, Latvia and Slowakia. In 2024 Adeama was awarded “Vocalist of the year” for the second year in a row, which was voted for by the Radio Listeners of Luz Blues Radio Poznan.
Oskar Kunicki
Guitar
Oskar honed his guitar skills under his father’s guidance and refined his blues techniques through multiple Blues Guitar Workshops at Blues nad Bobrem.
He co-founded and helps organize the Jimiway Blues Festival, which has received accolades from the Blues Foundation.
In 2008 and 2009, he was invited to join American singer Wanda Johnson on her European tours.

Bartosz “Mr. Shuffle” Niebielecki
Drums
He played his first concert at the age of 12.
He has collaborated with such soloists and bands as: Jacek Baran (in the late 60s and early 70s, a musician of the bands Romuald & Roman and Nurt), The Crackers, J.J. Band, Leszek Cichoński, Wojciech Karolak, Marek Raduli, Jacek Krzaklewski, Roman “Pazur” Wojciechowski, Jorgos Skolias, Apostolis Anthimos, Jerzy Styczyński, Leszek Możdżer, Michał Urbaniak, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Sławek Jaskułke, Alicja Janosz, L.U.C., Anita Lipnicka, Carlos Johnson, Tim Gant, Stan Skibby, Roland Parker, Big Blues Orchestra, and many others.
He co-created the musical settings for the television programs “Bar” and “On i ona” and conducted blues workshops for drummers in Puławy. He has played hundreds of concerts in Poland and abroad.
Tomasz Szukalski
Bass
At 17, inspired by the local band Blues Forever, he fell in love with the bass guitar. A year later, he formed his own band with his cousin on guitar, and has been actively involved in music ever since.
He is a co-organizer of the Blues Foundation-awarded Jimiway Blues Festival.
He has participated in the recording sessions for several bands, including SnakeBite at SpitFire in Los Angeles, Natamaran, Krock, and Red Rooster.
Tomasz is a bass guitar teacher at the Krotoszyn School of Rock.
Sebastian Łobos
Keyboard
Sebastian is an outstanding pianist of the young generation, arranger, student of the Academy of Music in Wrocław, majoring in “Jazz and Stage Music”. He excels in every musical genre, from classical to contemporary music, although ragtime and blues is said to flow in his veins. He can perfectly combine all musical genres, creating something unique.
He took a part in a lot of prestige festival with bands playing tango, blues, jazz. In 2019, he represented Poland at the Memphis Blues Challenge in the USA.
He performs daily and takes part in co-created projects such as: “Wild Flame”, “Back To The ’50s”, “Silent Cinema Pianist” and “Show Burlesque Dance Live Band” in which he is a music director.
